Meet in Grosmont at 10.00am, the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, with it's engine sheds and 1952 themed station and take the 10.30am train to Goathland.

A visit to a tearoom will precede the 3.5 mile walk back to Grosmont, along the original track of the Whitby to Pickering railway line, through woodland, along the riverside and across open fields, with the possibility of catching a glimpse of a passing steam train on the way. The walk is mostly flat along well defined footpaths.

On arrival back at Grosmont, there will be time to call in at an eating place of your choice.

Train journey tickets will be booked in advance, once numbers are known.

Cost: Walk: £2.00
Train journey £6.60
Deposit: No deposit required
Leader: Gillian Bryant
